this is a small drawing that i did on Watercolor paper with Ink backround, then drawn in pastel... i was pleasently stuck in Chicago for 10 days in June... i was flying standby and got stranded because of the masses of people trying to get to Europe for the World Cup... I discovered a fantastically interesting city - spent a lot of time in the new Millenium Park, drawing the bean as well as laying in the grass listening to a Symphony play live for whoever passed by... saw some great shows, got to know a good amount of the bars and clubs .. oh ya... and yes - there is a Chicago 'Egg' being worked on at the moment....
i did this drawing during a hot hot saturday garage sale in a Irving Park neighborhood in Chicago- i sold my friends things as he raced around finding more stuff to sell- we then bought this super cool Giraffe made out of paper mache (pretty good size) with the proceeds and some plastic Alien Masks, and some super cool 'flex spex' eighties sunglasses....
