Oil on Canvas, 135x90cn (approx) 2006...
this piece developed out of the longing for breaking out of old molds and patterns and reaching a higher plane of potential that i carry within... these recent paintings are a breaking thru, and out of old binds and evoking that what is most important... i have been striving to discover in which way i should carry on in as an artist and of course as a so called human... i think the answer is narrowing itself and it is becoming clear. Images that raise my vibration and that of others, images that spur you sit straighter, breath deeper, get quiet inside... seem to be of the greatest value at the moment. Critical paintings have their place and i continue to produce them, but at some point the critic has to stop, even tho there is ever more to criticise... at some point we have to stop focusing on what we DON'T want and focus on what we DO want.... otherwise things will never get better.... |
