Oil on Canvas, 135x90cn (approx) 2006...

this piece developed out of the longing for breaking out of old molds and patterns and reaching a higher plane of potential that i carry within... these recent paintings are a breaking thru, and out of old binds and evoking that what is most important... i have been striving to discover in which way i should carry on in as an artist and of course as a so called human... i think the answer is narrowing itself and it is becoming clear. Images that raise my vibration and that of others, images that spur you sit straighter, breath deeper, get quiet inside... seem to be of the greatest value at the moment. Critical paintings have their place and i continue to produce them, but at some point the critic has to stop, even tho there is ever more to criticise... at some point we have to stop focusing on what we DON'T want and focus on what we DO want.... otherwise things will never get better....

very beautiful image. Definitely an Alex Grey undertone, which is no easy thing to accomplish. I love the comment that accompanies it, it really gives the piece a powerful emotional charge. I am very inspired, thankyou!

it's quite a big painting and didn't take so long to do... the patience is more in listening to what the painting wants...

i am happy to hear of your process... yes i also feel that the simpler path may the wiser... to feel beauty and life, there is no effort... just to remind ourselves that we ARE and don't need to try to be takes quite a bit of effort sometimes!

This reminds me of a program I watched on Magnetic Storms. Scientists are trying to figure out when the Earth's magnetic field is going to reverse (and what it will mean for us)-- it has done so many times in Earth's life, and from their records we're sort of overdue. No humans have ever experienced it.

I'm rambling-- Anyway, this just resembles the computer models of the magnetic fields.

And your description kind of fits in with the scenario of such change.

I'm a nerd.

You did a beautiful-beautiful job! :+fav:

i know i am not alone with the intuition that we are already in the midst of some massive change... it is being called many different things... and i think 'shift' is quite a neutral way to describe it... it is a shift from within, although there are generations and generations built up of unhealthy patterns in our genetics... it's not going to be an easy road in the next years --- but fullfilling and exciting to say the least!
thanks for the link.. i will check it out:)

Very good work!, Amanda...
If you can, listen to Giacinto Scelsi, an Italian composer. His music focus on the same concept, of
self-discovery...
