'Creation' phase 3

yet another egg.....this painting is still in progress, am documenting it's growth and phases, as well as using a different approach to 'how' i am finding the imagery and transporting it onto canvas. I took a good amount of time, maybe an hour or so - somewhat induced - to close my eyes and 'see'... i experienced many things in this time period, i let it flow... i had stretched the canvas prior to the 'seeing' part and intended to paint my pure feeling no matter what happened during the hour. Many dimensions of layers appeared, very massive, ultimate, sacred symbols, very base, sexual energy... i started onto the canvas without too much thought, working only with charcoal... i took the drawing part as far as it wanted to go. then i sprayed it with fixative and wiped the excess charcoal off... the drawing then being much lighter i went back in with charcoal again... and then sprayed again... then i went over the whole canvas in a unified glaze of raw umber mixed with some transoxid red acrylic.... then i started in on the underpainting with plaka (casein) to heighten the whites and go deeper into the imagery.... then i glazed with different oils to reach the stage that it is now... not much will follow, although another white heightening stage may follow as well as more depth and color with the oils.... i don't want the colors to get to bright, i want to hold it in this sense... but we will see.........
